NRN Remit terms and conditions - Rules and regulations for using our remittance services.
Article 1: Eligibility
To access and use NRNRemit's money transfer services, users must be at least 16 years of age, in compliance with Nepal's citizenship laws and regulatory requirements.
Article 2: Personal Information Collection
- In-store Counter Transactions: When completing a transaction at a physical counter, users are required to present personal details, including valid identification, contact information, and data relevant to the transaction.
- NRNRemit App Transactions: Users transacting through the app must provide similar personal information, along with bank account details if funds are to be received directly into a bank account.
- Bank Transactions: For transfers or receipts processed through a bank, users' account information will be shared with NRNRemit representatives to ensure accurate and efficient execution of the transaction.
Article 3: Use of Information
Personal data obtained through counter visits, the NRNRemit app, or bank transfers will be used to process transactions, uphold security standards, fulfill legal obligations (including anti-money laundering compliance), and deliver effective customer support.
Article 4: User Consent
- By accessing NRNRemit's services, users acknowledge and agree to the collection, storage, and processing of their personal data as necessary to carry out their transactions.
- Users also consent to the sharing of relevant information — including bank details where required — with NRNRemit representatives or trusted third-party partners involved in completing the transfer.
Article 5: Transaction Limits and Restrictions
- The maximum amount that can be sent or received through NRNRemit may be subject to caps imposed by applicable regulations or NRNRemit's own operational policies.
- Cross-border transactions to or from specific countries or regions may be subject to additional charges or limitations as required by local laws and regulations.
Article 6: Security
- NRNRemit applies industry-standard security protocols — including data encryption and secure storage systems — to ensure the protection of user information during every transaction.
- Users are equally responsible for safeguarding their own personal information, including keeping their NRNRemit app login credentials and related account details confidential.
Article 7: Third-Party Services
To facilitate seamless money transfers, NRNRemit may engage with external partners, including banking institutions. All such third-party entities are required to follow privacy standards that are consistent with NRNRemit's commitment to protecting user data.
Article 8: Dispute Resolution
All transaction-related disputes will be addressed and resolved in line with the laws of Nepal. NRNRemit maintains a formal grievance redressal process to assist users who believe their transaction was not handled appropriately.
Article 9: Limitation of Liability
NRNRemit shall not be held accountable for any losses, damages, or inconveniences arising from delays, errors, or service interruptions caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to system outages, technical failures, or third-party service disruptions.
Article 10: Changes to Terms and Conditions
NRNRemit retains the right to revise these terms and conditions at its discretion. Users will be duly informed of any material updates, and continued use of the services following such changes will be regarded as acceptance of the revised terms.
